Where do I report a guy emptying ashtray on freeway?
Fellow in a top of the line BMW 750 Li just emptied his ashtray in front of me out of his window in traffic - 5VTV909 Grey BMW in Los Angeles - 12-15 lunchtime near Van Nuys Blvd heading E on 101
Wow - interesting responses - seems like the % of good people out there these days is on a fast diminishing scale - and to some of you apparently I am not a good person!!

Wow, you report it to your mommy, who gives a shit, you think he does??? He prob has the money to pay the fine anyways, and didnt think some jackass like you would ask on yahoo answers, go hug a tree….

I would call the highway patrol but without actually witnessing the offense I doubt there is anything they can do.
Hungrycat7 | Jan 16, 2009

CHP has jurisdiction but honestly I’m not sure there’s much they would/can do if they didn’t witness it themselves.

sounds like a job for the SUPERTROOPERS!!!!

you dont have better things to worry about than some person dumping an ash trey on the freeway. I could understand if it was a bag full of trash or something, but dang.
Anyways, all they will do is send him a letter in the mail saying someone reported him littering. There will be no fine or ticket or anything.
Richard Long | Jan 16, 2009

it’s none of your concern. there’s no point in worrying about it.
or the next time you see the guy dumping his ashtray why don’t you confront him yourself instead of filing a stupid complaint about dumping an ashtray.i’m pretty sure the city los angeles have other issues to deal with than a man dumping an ashtray.

If your truly concerned with it then I would ask do you remember his plate if so go to the police station and report a driver littering and see what they say, its a big joke until the whole world is polluted to where humans can’t survive anymore, I don’t know if I would worry about it but your going to do what you know needs done, I would suggest police station good luck hope everything works out for you.

I agree, it is a dumb thing to do, but unless the police see him do it there really is nothing that can be done.

Rules of Attraction, The (2002)

IMDB rating: 6.60

Plot: Camden College. Sean Bateman (James Van Der Beek) is the younger brother of depraved Wall Street broker Patrick Bateman. He’s also a drug dealer who owes a lot of money to “fellow” dealer Rupert Guest (Clifton Collins, Jr.), as well as a well-known womanizer, for he sleeps with nearly half of the female population on campus. Lauren Hynde (Shannyn Sossamon) is, technically, a virgin. She’s saving herself for her shallow boyfriend, Victor Johnson (Kip Pardue), who’s left the States to backpack across Europe. Her slutty roommate, Lara (Jessica Biel), has the hots for Victor as well. Paul Denton (Ian Somerhalder), who used to date Lauren, is openly bisexual and attracted to Mitchell Allen (Thomas Ian Nicholas), who’s dating Candice (Clare Kramer) to prove to Paul that he’s not gay. Sean loves Lauren. Paul loves Sean. And Lauren may love Sean.

How do bond strengths compare in ionic and covalent bonding?
My teacher says it depends on the substance itself, but I don’t quite get why. Care to explain?
He also said something about double/triple bonds vs single bonds vs different levels of attraction in ionic bonds. Is there no general rule to follow?

Maybe this will help

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Why_are_ionic_ bonds_weaker_than_covalent_bonds

Sora | Jan 17, 2010

Ionic Bonding: Makes "Compounds", Transfers, gives/takes electrons to be noble, Made with Metals and Nonmetals, Positive and Negative Charges, "Weak Bond"

Covalent Bonding: Makes "Molecules", Shares electrons to be noble, Made of Nonmetals, Neutral, and " Strong bond"
VIVIHO | Jan 17, 2010

Ionic bonds generally have an electronegativity difference of 1.7 or more.
Covalent bonds generally have an electronegativity difference of less than 1.7.

Electronegativity is the tendency for an electron to attract.
